We are Black and Blanco, people who want to help you by making law easy.

‘Black and Blanco’ means ‘Black and White’ and reflects how we work – with transparency, simplicity and ease.

We focus on advising on matters affecting business, commercial property and estate planning. We know what we’re good at and stick to it.

We believe that we do our best work and develop some of the best ideas and relationships outside of the confines of the office and traditional business hours and so we offer a mobile service. We understand that you are busy and time is one of your most valuable resources. We will come to you or organise a ‘virtual’ meeting at a time and location which is convenient for you.

Black and Blanco (formerly Bayside Law Group), was founded by Aly Morgan Greig, who has had unique legal experience having worked for a national law firm, in a suburban practice, inhouse with one of Australia’s leading financial institutions and with one of Australia’s leading not-for-profit organisations.

Aly has brought the best of the learnings from each of her professional experiences to Black and Blanco to create a law firm which provides both a professional and personalised service. Aly takes the time to listen, to understand you, your business and your motivations.

The word ‘Blanco’, which is Spanish for ‘White’ was chosen to acknowledge Aly’s husband’s Mexican heritage. Aly, like so many other small business owners, recognises that without the support and encouragement of her best friend, Black and Blanco would not exist as it does today. ‘Blanco’ also reflects Aly’s love for South America. It was during a trip to Peru that Aly decided to leave the security of her corporate legal job and, years later, while hiking in Patagonia, Chile the idea for ‘Black and Blanco’ grew. For Aly, travelling through South America and the quietness, freedom and space which came with being immersed in nature and a different culture, has, on two separate occasions, inspired her biggest career moves.

Black and Blanco is a firm with a soul. We want your experience of working with us to be positive, we want our communication to be clear and friendly and we want you to feel understood and empowered when engaging our services. We believe in giving back to the community and provide numerous hours of pro-bono legal assistance to charities, start-ups and people in need. We have made a conscious decision to run a lean business with limited overheads. This enables us the flexibility to help more people and respond faster. We have a strong passion for protecting the environment and strive to operate a sustainable business.

When Aly isn’t being a law nerd you will find her somewhere outdoors – hiking, swimming, paddle boarding, doing yoga or enjoying a warm beverage with a friend or her ‘furry’ best buddy (and office side-kick) Hendrix (named after the great musical genius ‘Jimi’ who has inspired the creativity of Aly and her husband.)”
